Memento Vivere is an ongoing photographic project that situates living chickens within compositions derived from Dutch Golden Age still-life painting. By reactivating traditions of abundance and moral symbolism, the work interrogates how animals are aestheticized, ordered, and rendered legible through historical visual systems.
