Ames (Amy) is an artist working with photography, AI-generated imagery, and print-based processes. Her work examines willful blindness as a cultural condition, focusing on how systems of representation shape what is noticed, ignored, or normalized. Recent projects investigate AI’s repeated failure to coherently depict chickens, using distortion and error as evidence of broader human–animal relations, consumerism, and visual neglect. Ames combines digital images with material processes including pigment transfer, scanning, and hand-assembled publications. She is currently based in the United States.
